About us
HumanWrites is a name that carries dual meaning: it literally means “written by humans”, while also evoking “human rights.”
This journal is not merely a space for writing—it is a platform for recording dignity, expressing emotion, and letting young voices speak to the world.
In a world overwhelmed by headlines and statistics, we often lose our way.
At HumanWrites, we believe that true change does not begin with numbers or reports, but with stories.
Literature is art—but it does not end there.
It connects us to the world, inspires empathy, and gives voice to those who have been silenced.
Believing in this power, we write to communicate, to resist, and to stand in solidarity.
HumanWrites aims to be a space where youth between the ages of 14 and 20 can interpret the world in their own way and express it freely.
Your words don’t need to be perfect. They can carry grief, anger, or vulnerability.
What matters is that your voice is respected, and your story is heard.
We accept works in a variety of forms—including letters, diaries, flash narratives, and poetry.
All submissions must be based on factual information and must include at least one article or source cited as a reference.
If no article is available, please include a brief explanation of the topic with your submission.
This is to ensure that our stories are grounded in truth, and to prevent the spread of misinformation or false narratives.
This is where empathy begins.

Right now, Human Writes.
